AN exciting new venue will host this year’s prestigious Alpha Agility Challenge Final.
The Malvern Autumn Show, at the Malvern Showground runs on September 25 and 26 with the agility final on the Sunday.
The show is a celebration of the country way of life with activities ranging from food and flower displays to small holder information, country pursuits, forgotten skills, the world of animals and of course the dog agility.
Alpha Agility Challenge organiser Graham Taylor said: “We are delighted that the team running the Malvern Autumn Show are hosting the final.
“It is a wonderful venue and will provide a great setting for the Alpha Agility Challenge which is now well established in the agility calendar.”
The Alpha Agility Challenge is designed for large dogs Grade 1 to 3.
Qualifiers for the final will be held on:
April 3 - Easter ‘Egg’gility, Warwickshire April 25 – Lincoln Agility Show, Lincolnshire May 9 – Beacon ADTC, West Midlands May 23 - Belvoir Steam Fair, Leicestershire June 6 – PADS, Staffordshire July 4 – Tuffley DTC, Gloucestershire July 11 – Chipping Norton DTC, Oxfordshire August 1 – Herefordshire Country Fair, Hereford
Unique to this competition is the Alpha Wildcard. One or two dogs that miss the qualifying places receive an Alpha Wildcard invitation. At each of the heats five dogs will qualify for the prestigious final which will see agility expert Andy Brown in the judging seat.
