28 Sep 2009Busy Time For Alpha Feeds At Chatsworth Country Fair

The 2009 Chatsworth Country Fair was a great success with visitors flocking from all over the country to watch the wide range of activities and displays. Throughout the three days, North Nottinghamshire-based performance dog food experts supported the many dog events that are held.
The agility competitions again brought a lot of entertainment to spectators as TV personality Alan Titchmarsh, Christopher Lloyd Owen and Becky Moffatt accepted the challenge of running an agility dog at the country fair. Alan is also president of the fair and ran Sherman who was kindly provided by one of the judges helping in the agility ring.
Country fair official Christopher Lloyd Owen was also keen to take up the challenge while Becky Moffatt of Alpha Feeds completed the trio in action. Each of the competitors was new to the dog agility arena but fortunately were briefed by the owners of the dogs they borrowed on how to get the best results from them.
After a fantastic display from Barry Anslow and Asha showing how an agility course should be done, the participants were ready to show what they could do.
First to step up to the challenge was Becky with Ice. More used to horses Becky coped really well and set the pace for the men to follow. Next to go was Christopher and Ash. Determined to win Christopher did not let chivalry stand in his way and the partnership took a commanding lead with only Alan left to go.
The crowd gathered for Alan’s performance, to see if he could repeat his 2008 victory. However this was not to be and Christopher held on to first place receiving Alpha Feeds mementoes of the event.
