The Warwickshire and West Midland Game Fair held at Ragley Hall was blessed with fantastic weather and the Plummer Terrier Association classes sponsored by Alpha Feeds were a huge success.
Spectators and competitors visited from all over the British Isles and there was hot competition in all the categories for the judges Keith Dimon and Stuart Frost.
Six of the top dogs from 2009 came forward for the final judging of the Supreme Champion for 2009. To be eligible to compete in this championship the bitch or dog must have been awarded Best in Show or Reserve in 2009. The top spot went to Remlap Nettle owned by Adrian Gardner, the winner at Highley show in June. Adrian was already having a good show with a win in the Progeny class earlier in the day. The decision to award Ramlap Nettle Supreme Champion was a tough one, but the judges thought their 2009 Supreme Champion was a very worth winner. The reserve spot was awarded to Oakfield Tyke, the best in show at Ragley Hall.
The decision to name the adult dog Oakfield Tyke Best in Show was unanimous. It was a tough decision as both of the animals looked superb but Oakfield Tyke got the nod standing above Oakfield Jenny, the adult bitch winner.
The Best Puppy in Show went to the winner of the dog puppy section Oakfield Vinnie owned by Ian Marshall with the Reserve place went to the winner of the bitch puppy section Whitegate Weasel owned by Roy Tickle. Results include:
